Macie

Macie and Samantha are therapy dogs. Their breed is Bichon Frise, which means “curly lap dog” in French. These dogs are happy, cheerful, playful, small, and sturdy, with dark-eyed inquisitive expressions. Their breed is often compared to a cotton ball due to their white curly fluffy coats. Most people are not allergic to this breed as their coat is a type of hair that does not shed. However, if you would rather that Macie and Samantha be separated from your child that can be easily arranged.

Children have proven to be motivated and engaged by animal assisted therapy. “Macie” has been the first word that some of our children have spoken. They feel at ease when the dogs are present, and tend to want to perform for them. In addition, they feel a sense of empowerment when working with them.
